Unless you are hiring one of our luxury bell tents or booking a hotel locally, you will need to bring your own tent or camper van! For a full list of items and tips, head over to the festival guide!

Camping
We want to offer you the opportunity to camp with your friends in a safe and relaxing environment. Never before have you been able to gather like this, within nature with our fandom family. Some of you may not have been able to attend a festival before. It’s time for a new experience, something the animal within us craves, to be with our chosen kin and nature.
Tents:
-
You may bring any size and style of tent. As long as multiple people can fit into a tent safely, you may share tents at your own discretion. All tents must be pegged into the ground and pegs must be collected at the end of the event. When erecting your tent, please leave enough space for people to easily and safely walk past your tent and others, this includes the guide ropes. That is unless you are camping with your party, you may then pitch your tents close. Be aware of guide ropes and walkways.
-
Please be aware, tents are cold at night and potentially hot in the morning if the sun is not behind the clouds. Pack accordingly!
Campervans:
-
You are welcome to bring your campervans! You may be asked to park in a specific spot on the field. Tents can be erected next to campervans.
Hire a bell tent.
- Don’t have a tent? Don’t like the idea of bringing a tent and your bags on public transport? Then we may have a solution for you. Our 5 metre luxury bell tents will be available for hire when purchasing a ticket. This tent will be clean, high quality and ready for your arrival. You will not be required to pack down these tents, however they must be left clean on your departure. Pre-inflated single beds are included! Just bring your pillow, sleeping bags and blankets.
Your bell tent will have a printed sign attached to it, so you know which one is yours. These tents easily fit 4 people with big bags, snuggly 5 people with big bags, and 6 people with small bags at a push.
Bell tents can be purchased when purchasing a ticket. The cost is per tent, not per person. We cannot facilitate split payment currently. It is up to the person who purchases the tent hire, to collect any contributions from their party towards the tent. The attendee who purchases the tent will be requested to provide either a name for the tent sign or artwork of their choice.
Non residential
- Camping not for you? There are a few small hotels, bed and breakfasts and airbnbs local to the area. However all of them are either a car, taxi or bus ride away. Non residential attendees do not have a separate ticket option.

Want to hire a bell tent as well?
Luxury bell tent hire: £250 (Per tent)
This is a purchase add-on for one of our luxury bell tents. Our bell tents can be purchased either with your ticket or after you have purchased a ticket.
One of our luxury bell tents will house:
4 people with lots of space
5 people comfortably
6 people at a push with small bags
Want to split the cost?
It is up to you to split the £250 hire cost between your party, and it is up to you who you have in your tent.
So, if you wanted to have 5 people in your bell tent, that would be £50 each and the party would be responsible to pay their share to the person who paid the £250 hire fee. We can't facilitate a split payment system at the moment.

Shuttle bus £20
This is an add-on that can be purchased between the 1st of March 2025 and 30th of MAY 2025.
The shuttle bus ticket is for both inbound and outbound journeys to and from Cambridge train station to the Festival site. You need only one ticket per person for both journeys.
More information can be found on this page and on the ticket page itself when the ticket page is released for viewing.

The Venue
We are proud to announce that Core Element will be hosted at HorseHeath Racecourse. This stunning location boasts a beautiful forest in which most of the festivities will take place whilst you will camp on the luscious green fields of the racecourse.
One of the great aspects of our venue, is the short walk from the campsite to the main area. The trees act as a natural sound shield, so the campsite will remain a chill space even when the party is at it's peak!
We have not one, but two stages for you to experience! Each will have different genres flowing throughout the evening. The stages are a short forest path walk away from each other, allowing you to appreciate the natural wonder of the forest and for the element's presence to be truly effective.

Location
-
The Core Element site is located within Horseheath Racecourse. This site has one entrance and is not accessible by foot due to the road leading to the event being a dual carriageway. Please see the map for the pinned location of the site entrance.

Travel
Public transport.
-
The nearest large train station is Cambridge central. From the station you can walk to the ‘13’ bus which also requires a taxi to reach the venue. Please do NOT walk on the dual carriage way for your own safety.
Shuttle Bus.
-
We understand that many of you will be bringing large bags and don't want to take a bus and a taxi. Therefore, we have arranged a shuttle bus to run attendees from the train station to the site on Saturday. On Monday, there will be a shuttle running from the festival site, back to the station.
-
The shuttle bus can be booked via the ticket page.
Our shuttle bus will be driving to and from Cambridge trainstation and HorseHeath Racecourse during specific times. Current estimated times are:
Saturday: 12pm - 4pm.
Monday: 9am - 1pm.
We advise making sure you aim to arrive way before the end of the estimated bus operation times to avoid missing the bus due to potential train line delays. Ticket QR codes will be checked before boarding the bus.

Driving.
-
If you choose to drive to Core Element, you will be pleased to know the car park is free. Simply turn up, show your ticket at the gate and follow directions to park in an orderly fashion. Have your ticket QR code ready to display at the gate.
Accessibility.
-
Please be advised that the festival is a natural site with uneven grounds and mild ground inclines. People with accessibility issues who are driving should notify staff to allow the vehicle to be parked closer to the woods. If you are taking the shuttle bus, the bus will be turning around close to the entry gate which is a slightly uphill walk away from the entrance. If this is an issue, let us know before hand and we can figure something out for you. People in taxis should notify the gate attendant that they wish to be dropped off close to the entrance, and directions will be given. The site isn’t huge but it is gravel and grass ground.

Contraband
-
No glass bottles are allowed on site, any glass bottles found will be confiscated. Horseheath is a racecourse, where horses do run on the field when they host events. We must respect the wildlife, no glass.
-
Attendees are allowed to bring 8 cans or 20cl of spirits decanted into a non glass bottle. Our bar needs to survive the event. We understand this may be a surprise, but please understand this is standard practice for festivals. Plus, our bar prices will be far more reasonable than your average mainstream festival.
-
No illegal substances are allowed on site.
-
No blades or weapons of any kind are allowed on site. Any prop weapons for costumes, may need to be approved by a member of staff. Check our weapons and props policy.
-
Non-service animals are not permitted on site. Documentation is required for registered service animals, but animals are not suggested at this event, especially in the main event area at night as noise levels will be high in the evening.
-
No fire pits, barbecues, flares, lanterns, naked flames on the camp site, camping stoves must be raised off the grass.

Challenges
Without a doubt, you will be asking questions about the event itself and the challenges of an outdoor festival. We will try to address as many of these as possible. Some of the issues we face will be addressed later down the line as the festival and budget increases.
Weather.
-
The UK summer can be unpredictable, and we understand that a costume friendly event would not be wise in very wet conditions. If the weather is suitable, but the ground is wet, we will lay walkways or turf to help curb the wet spots. The main event space is under tree cover, and we are looking into shelter cover just in case of a sudden shower. However, if the weather is just too wet for the event, we do have insurance and tickets will be refunded. In the event of the festival needing to be cancelled, sponsor tickets will receive their items in the post to the address the ticket is registered to.
Nature.
-
Attendees must bear the natural ground in mind when bringing costumes. The ground is forest floor / chip and open field. The field is well maintained and only hosts a handful of events over the summer. So it shouldn’t be muddy and upturned. That being said, fursuit sandals and/or outdoor feet are certainly recommended.
Showers
-
For the first Core Element, we are not able to facilitate showers. Please, shower before you set off and bring body cleansing wipes with you. Deodorant and body wipes are the usual cure for festival goers. We also encourage people to bring water containers, flannels, soap and maybe even portable showers to quickly wash those pits. As budget increases, showers are absolutely a priority.
Storage
-
For now, we must state that all belongings are left in tents and cars purely at the risk and responsibility of the owner. We advise any goods purchased and valuable items either be left in a locked vehicle, locked tent or kept on person. We encourage you to purchase padlocks for tent zips, and there will be security overlooking the car park at all hours. We will be looking into secure storage solutions. For now, we advise getting to know your tent neighbours, let them know who comes in and out of your tent with permission. Look after each other.
