Introduction
Welcome to Core Element, a professionally run festival for the furry community and friends.
At Core Element, we strive to foster an environment of positivity, inclusivity, and shared experiences, where everyone can feel safe, respected, and able to enjoy the festival.
This Code of Conduct sets out clear guidelines for behaviour to ensure that every attendee contributes to making this event memorable, safe, and enjoyable for all.
Please keep in mind that these rules apply for the entire duration of your time at Core Element from the moment you arrive on site, to the moment you have left.
By purchasing a ticket and attending Core Element, you are agreeing to follow the rules laid out in this Code of Conduct. Non-compliance can result in ejection from the festival and possible exclusion from future events.

1. Registration and Wristbands
1.1 You must be 18 years or older at the time of purchasing a ticket. Valid ID will be required at the festival entrance and main event areas. Accepted forms of ID include passports, driving licences, national ID cards, ISIC cards, military ID, and any card bearing the Home Office PASS mark.
1.2 Attendee wristbands must be visibly worn at all times on festival grounds when not in costume or fursuit. Wristbands are valid only when properly worn on the wrist. Lost wristbands must be replaced immediately at the registration area.
1.3 Access to the festival grounds, including the car park and camping areas, is restricted to registered attendees with valid tickets.
1.4 Tampering with or altering wristbands in any way is strictly forbidden.
1.5 All attendees, including fursuiters and cosplayers, must present their wristbands upon request, regardless of whether they are visibly worn.
1.6 Pretending to be a registered attendee will result in immediate ejection and may lead to future bans.
1.7 Wristbands and tickets are strictly non-transferable. Lending a wristband to provide access will result in the immediate ejection of both parties and may lead to future bans.

2. General Behaviour
2.1 Instructions from event staff, crew, security, and on-site workers must be followed promptly, this is for your safety.
2.2 All attendees are expected to treat each other, event staff, maintenance and ground staff respectfully and civilly. We will not tolerate physical or verbal abuse of staff and crew, or other attendees at the event.
2.2a Abusive behaviour towards staff, crew, or any on-site workers will result in immediate ejection and a permanent ban from future events.
2.3 Consent is required prior to any physical contact with another attendee or crewmember, this includes anyone in costume or fursuit. Any breach of this will result in removal from the festival and could result in a ban from future events.
2.3a "No" means no. "Stop" means stop. You must respect and immediately comply with these requests.
2.3b If you are not sure if someone wants to be hugged, touched, tackled or pounced, please ask them first.
2.4 Sexual acts are strictly prohibited within event spaces and public spaces, this includes the stage areas, the catering areas, all areas of the forest, the car park, and the campsite.
(what you do in the privacy of your tent is totally fine! Just be sure to be respectful of your neighbours and keep noise to a respectable level.)
2.4a Engaging in kink play, pet play, pup play, or BDSM-themed role play is strictly prohibited in public areas and event spaces. As this is not a kink-focused event, such activities must remain private and confined to personal accommodations, including tents, caravans, camper vans, or motorhomes.
2.5 Disruptive behaviour may lead to warnings or ejection. Repeated violations may result in a permanent ban.
2.6 Discrimination of any kind, including but not limited to racism, transphobia, homophobia, biphobia, misogyny, ageism, ableism and body-shaming, will not be tolerated.
2.7 Personal music must be kept low. No personal speakers or Bluetooth devices are permitted in main event areas.
2.7a These devices may be used in the camping and car park areas, but you must be mindful of volume.
2.8 A low noise curfew begins at 11PM within the camping and car park areas. Violators will be subject to warnings or ejection.
2.8a After 11PM voices must be lowered and music turned down to speaking level.
2.8b If a member of staff or crew asks you to turn your music off or speak more quietly, you must do so straight away.
3. Clothing and Decency
3.1 Core Element reserves the right to request attendees to remove costumes or accessories deemed potentially offensive to other attendees, staff, or crew.
3.2 Attendees may not display symbols or clothing associated with offensive or extremist organizations or ideologies.
3.3 Offensive imagery on clothing, signs, posters, or personal items is strictly prohibited, and staff and crew reserve the right to ask attendees to remove or stow them away.
3.4 Real fur costumes or items are not permitted.
3.5 Sexually explicit costumes that reveal genitalia or female presenting breasts are not permitted.
3.6 Nudity and overtly suggestive clothing are not allowed in public areas. This includes the sole wearing of underwear, with exceptions for sports bras and crop tops.
3.7 Public displays of sexual behaviour are strictly prohibited.
3.8 You are free and encouraged to dress in any way that makes you comfortable, as long as the clothing is respectful to other attendees and does not cross the line of decency. The event staff have the right to ask you to change if we feel your apparel is indecent.
3.8a Collars used as an accessory or as a cosmetic are acceptable as long as no leashes or tethers are in use.
3.8b Harnesses used as an accessory or as a cosmetic are acceptable as long as no tethers are in use.
3.8c Pup hoods and muzzles may be worn only as cosmetic attire.
3.8d The use of handcuffs or restraints of any kind is strictly prohibited in the event spaces.
3.9 The final determination of acceptable attire and items remains at the discretion of Core Element staff.
4. Alcohol, Intoxication, and Drugs
4.1 You are responsible for what you say and do, even if intoxicated.
4.2 Attendees are expected to drink responsibly. Excessive alcohol consumption is discouraged. Individuals seen to be displaying disruptive or intoxicated behaviour may be removed from the event for the safety and comfort of other attendees.
4.3 Rude or abusive behaviour towards bar staff will result in permanent refusal of service.
4.4 Bar staff are legally required to refuse service if you appear overly intoxicated.
4.5 Anyone incapacitated by alcohol or drugs may be escorted off-site or banned from future events.
4.6 Core Element is a glass-free event. Glass containers are not allowed on-site.
4.6b Attendees are permitted to bring up to 8 cans or 20cl of spirits.
4.7 Smoking is prohibited in main event spaces, food areas, and camping grounds. Designated smoking areas are available.
4.8 Vaping is allowed, but be respectful of other attendees, if someone asks you not to vape in their vicinity please respect this.
4.9 Abuse of inhalants or similar substances is prohibited and will lead to ejection and possible future bans.
4.10 The use or possession of illegal substances is strictly forbidden. The possession, consumption, or sale of these items is strictly prohibited. Violators will be ejected and reported to the police.
5. General Rules
5.1 Respect all attendees, staff, and on-site workers.
5.2 We are a litter free festival, littering will result in warnings and potential ejection for repeat offenders.
5.3 Attendees are not permitted in "Crew Only" areas.
5.4 Tampering with safety or crew equipment is prohibited and will result in ejection.
5.5 The climbing of trees, natural structures, or manmade structures is strictly prohibited. This is for your own safety.
5.6 Attendees are liable for damages caused by irresponsible behaviour and may face fines.
5.7 The use of body paint is prohibited. Face paint and cosmetics are permitted, but attendees are responsible for any damages caused by transfer.
5.8 Light poi, glow sticks, and similar items are permitted but must be used responsibly.
5.9 The sale of merchandise outside designated trading spaces is forbidden without permission.
5.10 Pets are not allowed, except registered service or assistance animals with prior authorization.
5.11 Attendees assume all responsibility for their personal possessions and property, this includes but is not limited to; Costumes, costume items, fursuits, vehicles, merchandise, and clothing.
5.12 Due to the outdoor nature of the festival, ground quality may at times be wet, uneven, and could be generally poor. Attendees are responsible for wearing appropriate footwear.
5.12a Festival staff and directors reserve the right to determine if footwear is appropriate for any area on the site.
5.12b BeautyOfTheBass Events Ltd and Core Element staff shall not be held responsible for the condition of natural terrain at the event site.
5.13 The use of Core Element hashtags, (including beautyofthebassevents & horseheath racecourse), mentions, or any other form of association with the event when posting adult content, drug-related material, offensive imagery, or any content that could damage the event's reputation to social media or any public group chats is strictly prohibited. Violations may result in a permanent ban from all future events organized by BeautyOfTheBass Events Ltd, and may lead to legal action where appropriate.
6. Camping Site and Car Park
6.1 Attendees are responsible for any damage to Core Element provided tents.
6.1a Luxury bell tents must be left clean with no litter inside them.
6.2 Non-registered guests may not stay overnight in attendee tents.
6.3 Tents must display a valid tent label at all times.
6.4 Smoking is strictly prohibited in the camping area.
6.5 Excess noise at any time in the camping area will result in warnings and possible ejection.
6.6 Core Element staff are not responsible for personal belongings left in tents or vehicles.
6.7 Tents must be pitched in designated areas only.
6.8 You must follow parking marshal instructions upon arrival.
6.9 Vehicle engines should not be left running, and car sound systems should be kept low during the night.
6.10 Campfires or open fires are not permitted at any time due to fire safety regulations.
6.10a Camping Gas stoves may be used for cooking, but must be used responsibly and be in good working condition. Core Element crew reserve the right to ask you to stop using a gas stove if they feel it is unsafe or being used irresponsibly.
7. Weapons and Dangerous Items
7.1 Dangerous weapons or imitation weapons are strictly forbidden.
7.2 Fireworks and sparklers are not allowed on-site.
7.3 Foam or plastic props are allowed, but must be inspected and approved by security.
7.4 Realistic mock weapons are prohibited.
7.5 Nerf guns are allowed, but may not be used to fire projectiles on-site.
7.6 Weapons are only acceptable if they are considered harmless and are intended and used as part of a costume, or if they are intended and used as a tool that has a reasonable use at the festival. (for example, a tent-peg mallet).

8. Photography and Videotaping
8.1 Commercial photography or videography is not permitted without authorization.
8.2 Photography and filming are allowed for personal, non-commercial use.
8.3 Consent is required to photograph or film individuals.
8.4 Photography in the dealer's area requires dealer consent.
8.5 Photography, filming, or taping for the purpose of sale, publication, public media, dissemination or other commercial gain (e.g. Patreon) is expressly prohibited without written permission by the BeautyOfTheBass Ltd directors.
8.6 Areas in which attendees have a reasonable expectation of privacy are off-limits for you to record or take photographs. These include but are not limited to: toilets and changing facilities, fursuit lounges, the executive lounge, and “Staff Only” areas.
8.7 Providing photographs or videos taken at the festival event or of festival staff, volunteers, mascots, or attendees to media organizations or publishers is expressly prohibited without the prior, written permission of BeautyOfTheBass Ltd directors.
8.8 Photography and filming is generally allowed in all common areas of Core Element, however, photography and filming is strictly forbidden without permission in the Dealers’ Den and Fursuit Lounges.
8.8a Dealers are permitted to take pictures of their own Dealers’ space in Den but must ensure that other Dealers’ spaces are not visible.
8.9 Core Element photographers may record video and take photographs in the public areas of the festival, as well as during events, to be used in various official and endorsed publications such as: the Core Element website, highlight videos, press releases or other promotional materials. You agree that photographs and videos taken of you can be used in such publications, without release or compensation. A release will only be required for material filmed in situations where a reasonable expectation of privacy exists.
9. Warnings, Ejection, and Bans
9.1 Core Element operates on a two-strike system for minor offences. First warnings are verbal, and repeat offences may result in ejection.
9.2 Severe breaches may bypass the two-strike system and result in immediate ejection.
9.3 If ejected, you must promptly leave the premises. Failure to comply may involve law enforcement.
​9.4 The Directors Team reserves the right to issue a pre-emptive ban prior to the event, at their sole discretion, if there is sufficient reason to believe that an individual’s presence may compromise the safety, well-being, or overall experience of attendees or staff. The decision may be based on prior conduct within the wider community and community events or any other relevant information, and is final.
Closing statement
The following general rule supersedes all other rules and may be invoked at any time:
Any of the following actions or behaviours may result in an immediate ejection from the festival, and a possible future ban from all BeautyOfTheBass Events Ltd events:

Significant interference with festival operations;

Excessive discomfort to other attendees, festival staff, and/or members of the general public; or
-
Adversely affects BeautyOfTheBass Events Ltd relationship with its guests or its venues; or
-
Discrimination of any kind, including but not limited to racism, transphobia, biphobia, misogyny, ageism, ableism and body-shaming.

These rules are not open to discussion during the convention.
Decisions by the directors are final.
The definition of unacceptable behaviour remains at the discretion of the BeautyOfTheBass Events Ltd directors.
