  • Do I need to bring my ID?
Yes, ID is a requirement. You will need it for registration and for ordering drinks at our bar and vendors. Guests without ID will not be granted entry to the festival and will not be granted a refund. There are no exceptions. You must be 18 years or older at the time of purchasing a ticket. Accepted forms of ID include passports, driving licences, national ID cards, ISIC cards, military ID, and any card bearing the Home Office PASS mark.

Yes! Of course. You can pay for a regular attendance ticket and upgrade it any time before the 30th of June.
  • Will I get to see the sponsor gifts/merchandise before I upgrade?
Absolutely, the gifts and merch will be revealed after the tickets go live, but before the upgrade deadline on the 30th of June. In other words, if you'd like to wait and see what our gifts and merch look like before upgrading, you can!
  • How do tickets work? How do I get on site once I've purchased a ticket?
Once you purchase a ticket on our website, you will receive an e-ticket with a QR code as proof of purchase. Keep this email safe, we'd recommend printing out your QR code as backup also. When you arrive on site, our security team will ask to scan your ticket and grant you entry. So make sure you have access to your ticket on arrival, and keep your phone charged. Fun fact! - You'll also receive a physical souvenir ticket! These physical tickets don't serve as entry to the festival but as a commemorative item, something for the cork board! Proof of shuttle bus and bell tent purchase is required as well if you choose those options.
  • I've never been to a festival before, what should I expect and bring with me?

Sure thing you can bring a camper van or caravan! There will be a dedicated camper van and caravan area on site.
  • Can we bring speakers?
You can bring small speakers, but no large sound systems or speakers. The use of speakers in the camping area is allowed, but they must at reasonable volume and then turned off after 11pm.
  • Can we bring Alcohol?
Core Element is a glass-less festival and as such no glasses or bottles are permitted or sold on site. You can bring 8 cans or 20cl of spirits on site, this is per guest. We sell a wide array of themed cocktails and other beverages at our bar at very reasonable rates.
  • Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Yes, however due to the event being heald on natural ground, some areas of the site are on difficult terrain. But most of the main areas are on grass and there are pathways around the main event spaces. We’ll endeavour to make the festival grounds as accessible as possible working within the limits of the natural terrain. Our crew is more than happy to assist with any accessibility issues you may have, and there are no steps at the site. If you have any concerns about accessibility and mobility, please feel free to email us.
  • Is the venue private?
The venue grounds will be off limits to the public, only ticket holders, crew, and contractors will be allowed on site with some exceptions for deliveries.

We will have a great variety of food trucks and vendors on site to cater to all dietary requirements, including vegan! There will be soft drinks and alcohol available to purchase on site also. We'd suggest that you pack some snacks of your own too.
  • Can we party at our tents?
Heck yeah! But we ask that everyone is respectful of other guests and keep sound levels down after 11pm. To keep the party going, head into the woodland area!
  • Can I be shirtless?
You can! Like many festivals, we know it gets hot, and it’s totally normal to go shirtless. We do ask that female presenting breasts are covered. Please refer to our Code of Conduct on dress code for more information, and don’t forget, you can always ask a member of the crew if you’re not sure about an outfit.
  • What can I wear?
Our dress code is that of most festivals. Attendees are encouraged to bring both costumes and casual wear. We ask that you maintain decency and respect for your fellow creatures with what you wear. Refer to the Code of conduct for all the information on what attire is allowed onsite.
  • Can I wear my fursuit or cosplay?
Absolutely! We recommend a partial, but you may bring as much or as little as you wish in regard to costume. The reason we advise a partial, is because this festival is based on natural ground. This, along with the August heat and no onsite storage. We encourage attendees to get into the festival spirit and express themselves with costume, just be mindful of what will be practical to bring and store.
  • Can I share a tent?
Of course, guests bringing their own tents are welcome to share with other guests, and we leave your camping arrangements up to you and your friends as long as you use the designated areas and don't block access.
  • Can me and my friends put our tents together?
Absolutely, groups are welcome to pitch their tents close and stay together. We would prefer for people to make walkways obvious and clear, or place their tents close enough together to make it obvious that your tents do not have walking space between them. We want people to be able to tell where they can walk and where they can't.
  • Where can I go?
You can go anywhere on the campsite, within the car park, and of course the main event spaces. All the areas you can roam are indicated on our festival map on the website and in our festival guides. You must not wander too far into woodland areas, as there can be trip hazards.. Plus you wouldn’t be alone..
  • Can we have campfires?
Open fires are not permitted on site at any time. This is due to fire safety regulations and for your safety.
  • Can I use a gas camping stove to cook with?
For sure! As long as the equipment is in good working condition and is being used responsibly!
  • Can I use body paint?
The use of body paint is not permitted, as it easily transfers and may cause damage to people's costume. Body glitter may be worn however, and face paint is allowed.
  • Can I smoke / vape on site?
You may only smoke in designated smoking areas which are signposted. Smoking within the campsite and main event areas, including the food truck areas is strictly forbidden. Vaping is permitted on site, but please be respectful of other people.
  • I do Poi dancing or another form of performance art, can I do that at the festival?
We’d love that! Performance arts are welcome at the festival, and we love to see it! Please keep in mind your spacing from other guests and be respectful. Let us know if you have talent you want to showcase at Core Element. Head over to 'join the team' and select the 'events and acts' form to tell us about your talents. Please keep in mind your spacing from other guests and be respectful.
  • How can I stay cool if it’s too hot?
Our welfare tent and fursuit lounge will have fans running to help keep you cool. We’ll also have free water from running water supply, and a large proportion of the event space is also in the shade under tree cover.
  • Where can I keep my possessions or valuables?
Your valuables are your responsibility, if you don't have your own vehicle to lock items away in, we recommend asking a friend with a vehicle if they will let you keep valuables secure in their car, or keeping them in a secure bag. Tents normally have zips that can be locked with a padlock, always make sure nobody is in the tent if you lock it! In the future we will be looking into safe-storage options.
  • How can I keep clean?
We recommend bringing some wet wipes, deodorant, a flannel/sponge, body wash and body spray. This year, we will not have showers on site, but this is fairly normal for most festivals of this size.
  • What toilet facilities are there?
We will have toilet facilities available which will be stocked with toilet roll and antibacterial hand gel. We recommend you bring your own toilet roll just in case, it’s handy to have. We will have at least two accessible toilets on site.

We will have a dedicated SIA security team, if you have any concerns about behaviour or someone's wellbeing, you can come see one of our security team at any time, day or night. Or, head over to the welfare tent where a member of welfare will be able to help or radio security.
